What cigar lounges charge for memberships and lockers

I read the membership pages of 50 lounges across the country, and 39 publish real prices. Here's what they charge, what comes with it, and the pricing ideas worth borrowing. Every source is linked, so you can check my math.

The numbers owners ask about first

Medians, not averages, so one $10,000 lifetime tier doesn't skew the picture. Each figure uses only the lounges that publish that item.

$100/mo
Median entry-level membership, monthly. 22 lounges publish one.
$600/yr
Median entry-level membership, annual. 23 lounges publish one.
~$1,280/yr
Median cheapest way to get a locker. 36 lounges, middle half $900 to $2,400.
4 of 39
Lounges that publish a labeled initiation or signup fee. Most charge dues only.

An everyday lounge and a private club are different businesses.

Don't price a corner lounge off a club with a private entrance and a four-course dinner. Here's the split.

How lounges price the locker itself

There are three common ways, and they land at very different numbers.

  • The locker is the reason for the upper tier

The most common setup. The price gap between otherwise identical tiers shows what the locker is really worth: +$120 a year at Viso Cigar Lounge, +$400 at Four9 Cigars, +$1,140 on the annual plan at 111 Madison in Memphis.

  • The locker as an add-on

Median $240 a year across 5 lounges. From $10 a month at The Hideout in Pennsylvania to $600 a year at Tabanero Cigars in Tampa. Cheap on purpose: the membership is the real product.

  • The locker sold on its own

Median about $1,190 a year across 8 lounges. The locker is the whole membership at a lounge that's otherwise open to the public. BURN by Rocky Patel charges $2,000 the first year and $1,850 to renew. Long Island Cigar sells a small locker for $450 a year and a double for $850.

Five pricing ideas worth borrowing

Not advice, exactly. More like the good ideas I kept seeing once I'd read fifty of these pages.

1. Dues that come back as credit

Burns Tobacconist in Chattanooga returns 100% of dues as store credit that rolls over. Brennan's in St. Louis gives back 50 to 70%. SMōK in Las Vegas gives $100 back on a $180 membership. The headline price reads high, and a good chunk of it is really prepaid cigars.

2. The locker as the whole membership

BURN, Long Island Cigar, Silver Leaf and Cigar Life sell a locker, not a club. It's the simplest thing to explain and it doesn't require you to run members-only anything.

3. A founders tier with a hard cap

The Bay Cigar Lounge sells its first 50 founders at $3,000 for year one, then $1,000 a year for life, and shows how many spots are left. The Drawing Room in Pittsburgh ties a limited-run engraved locker to its founding tier.

4. A big first year, cheaper renewals

The 130 Club in New Jersey charges $10,000 to $15,000 up front and renews at half. Capital Club in Helena flips it: $85 a month with a $500 signup fee. Both reward members who stay.

5. Lockers priced by size or position

Viso charges $480 a year for the top-row lockers and $360 for the rest, and the top rows have a waitlist. Grand Cathedral in Tampa sizes lockers by how many boxes they hold. If one row is always full, it's underpriced.

Read from each venue's own website on September 14, 2026. Prices change, so check the source before you quote one.

How this was put together

I looked at 50 US cigar lounges and private cigar clubs in September 2026 and only counted prices the venue publishes itself, on its own website. I didn't use quotes, guesses or anything a friend said.

39 of the 50 publish prices. The other 11 say some version of "inquire," including three in my own backyard in Greenville and Fort Mill. Because I went looking for pages with prices on them, lounges that publish are overrepresented here. Treat this as what publishing lounges charge, not the whole industry.

A few rows need an asterisk. Two pages carry older copyright dates (2019 and 2023) and may be stale. One Atlanta locker price is printed "per month" at a number that looks like it means per year, so it's left out of the monthly figures. A Ritz-Carlton cigar club was left out entirely because the only price I found was from 2020.

Pricing questions

How much does a cigar lounge membership cost?

Among 39 US lounges that publish their prices, the median entry-level membership is $100 a month or $600 a year. Everyday owner-operated lounges ran lower (median $80 a month), and upscale lounges and private clubs ran higher (median $150 a month).

How much is a cigar locker?

The cheapest way to get a locker at those 39 lounges had a median of about $1,280 a year, with the middle half between roughly $900 and $2,400. Where a lounge sells the locker as an add-on to an existing membership, the median add-on was $240 a year.

Do cigar lounges charge an initiation fee?

Rarely. Only 4 of the 39 lounges publish a clearly labeled initiation or signup fee, and they are mostly private clubs. Most lounges charge dues only, sometimes with a $10 to $15 key fob deposit.

What do cigar lounge memberships usually include?

A cigar discount is nearly universal (82% of lounges in the sample), usually 10% on singles and 15 to 20% on boxes. Member events (72%) and guest privileges (59%) are next. About a quarter give part of the dues back as monthly store credit.

Let's look at your room.

Tell me a little about your lounge and I'll walk you through Parlor on a call, set up the way yours runs. It's a call with me, the guy who built it. There's no sales team to get passed to.

Takes a minute. I read every one of these and reply within a day.
